SSH
- Secure Shell
- 프로토콜 (Http 같은)
- 다른 컴퓨터에 원격 접속해서 Shell을 통해 해당 컴퓨터의 OS에 명령을 내릴 수 있음
- SSH Tunneling : SSH tunnel을 만들면 VPN 처럼 사용할 수 있음
VPN
- Virtual Private Network
- use Internet to create private network
- encrypt traffic from remote computer to company’s network
Differences
- SSH : connects to a particular computer
- VPN : connects to a network
- Both of them provides an addtional layer of security when browsing online
